The Central District of Birjand County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان بیرجند) is a district (bakhsh) in Birjand County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 196,834, in 52,986 families.[1] The District has one city: Birjand.
